Research Questions

1.    How much potential damage can happen to somebody from Cyber crimes and how can you protect yourself from being attacked virtually.  

2   Cyber crimes are some of the fastest grow crimes and if you don’t protect yourself from these crimes over the computer it could really affect you and your future.

3.      Cyber crimes have increased greatly over the past few years because of the rise of using a computer.  They can be anything from spam, viruses, spyware, to hacking into a computer and stealing important files and identities.  Cyber crimes are any crimes used on a computer.  You can even buy software over the internet now to create your own malware and other illegal computer attacks.  Most attacks are targeted attacks but not all.  The reason they can be targeted is because of the information on ones computer.  Cyber security is the defense against these kinds of crimes.  It is important to have a good defense program to block all the harmful things on the web.  The easiest way to do this is to buy a software package that protects your computer from harmful ware over the web.

4.     I still would like to find out how many people actually perform these kinds of crimes and what the most popular ones are.  If you get hacked and important information is stolen how badly it can affect your life.  How do cyber cops keep up with the changing of the internet and these crimes.  What are the laws against computer crimes.  How difficult it can be to find the people who are doing the crimes.

5.      I have looked at several different sources for this topic.  I have looked on databases that have scholarly articles and journals.  A few books, government websites as well as just other regular websites, and I have even seen a few movies that deal with computer crimes.
